This would sound better with a Martin guitar.

Post Fukushima, this song is as timely as it ever was...

It's a great song from a great artist. In fact, I have every album John's ever done. But what he doesn't realize is nuclear energy is the ONLY fuel that can power entire cities, and burn greenhouse gas free!! Solar, wind, and bio-fuel are not formidable alternatives to meet the needs of heavily dense populations. By the way, the best John Hall song ever---"Break of Day"

Is there any chance that John Hall, Graham Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Carly Simon and all the rest can get back together and finish the job this time? MUSE concerts were a fantastic idea, but we need to do it again, Bigger and longer this time.

There you are! I have been looking for you and this song for over thirty years and have sung it to myself and unsuspecting victims for longer than that. Thank you for articulating such a powerful statement and it is more relevant now than ever.Laura

Here are some videos from the MUSE era. I was there in Battery Park, and later that year started a second masters degree in Alternative Energy (having written my paper at Dartmouth in '74 on the environmental effects of the liquid metal fast breeder reactor), just to dump the degree in the garbage as Reagan was tearing solar panels off the White House. There are 2 YouTube clips of John Hall singing this song in 1979 that I'm trying to include here - errors! We Need More Muse Concerts NOW.

In light of all that has happened in Japan the past few days this song comes back to my mind. I was at the No Nukes concert in 1979
wow, could that be uncle Pete playing banjo with John Hall?

Yes indeed, Pete Seeger is still singing out at 89. It was a wonderful evening.
