There's nothing wrong with this kind of opinion, as a Canadian, I think there is something special or unique historically about the American identity or culture which is responsible for the vast amount of invention and innovation that has occured there. But! - Now Ignatieff is leading a party which for the past several decades has used Anti-Americanism as a tool for courting votes from the many people in places like Toronto, Vancouver, and Quebe who hate the United States. Hypocritical.
