From http://www.totalrecut.com Johnson & Johnson on 8th August 2007 sued the American Red Cross over the use by the relief group and its partners of J&J's trademark red cross logo on first aid kits, hand sanitizer and medical gloves sold to the public.
Among other things, J&J asked the court to prohibit sales of those items and order the defendants to turn over unsold goods and related marketing materials and all monetary gains from sales of the disputed items, which are sold in stores such as Target and Wal-Mart. Not a very good publicity move for Johnson & Johnson.
i think j&j jas nothing against the red cross it's just they have to protect what they build.u do reaiize that j&j helps millions of people as well as the red cross does.

This is a pro-Red Cross, anti-business sort of video. It seems ARC's protective nature per its logo is coming home to roost. In 1973 the NHTSA/DOT sought to use an ORANGE cross as a standard logo for ambulances according to its ambulance standards. The Red Cross complained and DOT researched this. They found ARC had a valid case. In a way I wish the ARC had let well enough alone. I think they were mad because they used to handle all ambulance attendant training before DOT/EMS.

I am glad J&J lost. The american red cross saves and helps millions of lives, not just put a band aid on it.

Great use of american red cross promotional footage. Just be careful of potential copyright issues.
