Shannon's surrogacy experience - Men Having Babies 2010

Shannon is a surrogate mother who carried a baby for Gary and Tony, a gay NY couple. Shannon shared her story at the Men Having Babies seminar in September 2010. She spoke about choosing to become a surrogate, her motivation, the screening process, her relationship with the intended parents, and the challenges including how to explain the process to her kids. She also spoke about the CNN documentary that was produced of their experience, called "Gary &Tony Have a Baby", and how reality was not quite as depicted on screen...

This presentation was part of the sixth annual "Men Having Babies" seminar, hosted by Center Kids, the family program of the New York LGBT Community Center. The panel was moderated by Terry Boggis, the director of Center Kids.
