Wow, blocking the door from closing can blow a fuse? That's stupid considering how many people hold elevators by grabbing the door. Couldn't they have an infrared beam or something? But why do the instructions say "have an employee hold the door with a key" cant they just tell you to use the door open button?

The elevator's not even ADA compliant as its capacity is 1400 lbs.
