But there we have a perfect example of yeast being used in food that we consume, so it can't be that bad. I quite like vegemite, it tastes similiar to boullion cubes.

the yeast in beer gets used up in fermentation... with carbon dioxide and other gases left over... same with bread.. no yeast left in it..
