I don't deny the skill involved. In donkey kong, hell in broad gaming terms, these guys are Gods. But that child doesn't sound like a usual crybaby (which really REALLY) annoy me, that kid sounds like it's hit some sort of limit to the amount of angst it can suffer.
I suppose it's all circumstancial, I don't know how old the child is or was his mother home or is he independent.But from where i stand, this just seems a little wrong to me.

you could say the same about chess. far less people know the names of the grand masters of chess, but that doesn't make chess any less a feat of skill. it's all cultural. competitive gaming is a sub culture just like any other.
