I'm Asian, and I don't think people do it to look Caucasian or impress white males. They think bigger eyes ares more cute and beautiful. I think the standards of beauty have come a long way, and in the past what the video said might have been the reason, but it's not necessarily true anymore.

It is impossible. Even with the eyelid surgery, they still look Asian. Their eyes are just wider and opened. I don't think they do it to look white (and like every other race...), but they do it because clearly it makes them more attractive and feel more attractive. Maybe it started out to impress white guys, but I doubt most of these women do it to appear more white.
