The one who does not know the struggle of life is either an immature soul, or a soul who has risen above the life of this world. The object of a human being in this world is to attain to the perfection of humanity, and therefore it is necessary that man should go through what we call the struggle of life.

Because life means a continual battle, one's success, failure, happiness, or unhappiness mostly depends upon one's knowledge of this battle. Whatever be one's occupation in life, whatever be one's knowledge, if one lacks the knowledge of the battle of life one lacks the most important knowledge of all.

As soon as a man loses the courage to go through the struggle of life, the burden of the whole world falls on his head. But he who goes on struggling through life, he alone makes his way.

Really it's just the guards preference. For my guard, Kennedy Catholic, we have "soft and silky" music like A Drop In The Ocean. It works better for us. But I would love to do a show with hard rock, or rock in general.

And being in a novice class I think you guys did pretty good!

@choreokv why does hard rock not go with guard? Classical music puts people to sleep. We like to wake them up, get them on their feet, and give them a show to remember.

the choreography could have been better, but other than that you girls did great. I love how you used a rock song. You rarely see that in winterguard.

Wow I never knew Westmoreland has a winter guard! I joined White House's in 10 when there guard instructor let the girls from Portland and Hendersonville High school join! :)

jut saying, there ARE clasdical songs that arent slow :P for example, our school's colorguard is using "rocky point holiday" and it isnt slow .....just.saying.

The colorgaurd even did a great show at Greenwood HS. I hope that this show takes you to the top at championships.Have a gret show every palce u go. Good Luck.
