Natto is basically soybeans that have been fermented with bacteria until they're soft, smell very strong, and sit in a stringy gel that resembles rubber cement.

This Japanese breakfast staple has many of the love-it-or-hate-it characteristics of a very strong cheese. But unlike very strong cheese, the health benefits often
attributed to natto seem to be rooted in reality. It contains large amounts of vitamin K, enzymes that fight blood clots, and tends to lower cholesterol levels.

If taste matches health powers, we're in for a treat!

  • What is it with people eating slimy stuff? My pick for grossest slimy food is okra. Its kind of like a pea pod that someone blew their nose into. Blech!
