Hi.
I hope you don't mind me asking here but, would the plasma cutter start cutting if you made contact with an insulated live power cable? I'm not suggesting anything here :) I am just curious.
Also, if it was a 'non contact' pilot start plasma cutter, and you cut a live power cable from a few inchs away, since plasma conducts electricity, wouldn't the current from the wire travel up the plasma and shock you?
These are just thought experiment questions, that's all :)

Oh, if you want to plasma cut something made from plastic or wood, place a thick peice of metal beneith it to carry the ark from the contact through to the metal
