and why would you need a different licence? from a damage and firepower point of view they are identical. they shoot the same round and have the same size mags. the only difference is the m-4 has a handle and its "black". i just dont understand liberal "logic"

@amyhuk Me neither. But I live in Canada. And here, firearms are classified into prohibited, restricted and non-restricted categories, as defined by Part III of Criminal Code (Wikipedia copy/paste!) A mini-14 is non-restricted and a M4 is restricted.... not very logical like you say...

Can't you just be opposed to anti-gun folks, in this instance, rather than a political party? Going right off and attacking a group that doesn't primarily focus on guns/guns rights in general (I don't think "liberal "logic"" was a term of endearment) really doesn't help to endeavor folks to your point of view.

I only bring this up, because i'm sick of political insults whenever guns come up...it's like people need to be comfortable with their "tribe" by attacking the other.

That sounds like a stereotype that also targets extremists. I am sure there are people of all creeds that are anti-gun and pro-gun. However, it is more effective to address specific stances (anti-gun), than broad political leanings.
