Tranz Rail 'Bumble Bee' Livery, introduced in 2001 to promote level crossing safety. Before this livery only the front of locos were painted yellow, the sides were grey. Painting the sides yellow made trains more visible. Also, the blue colour was dropped in favor of black, and the Tranz Rail logo replaced with the letters 'TR'. This livery lasted around 3 years before Toll Rail brought in a livery of yellow and green.
