Russ Pennell Trading Wildcats for Antelopes

He was supposed to be an assistant, he didn't have too many expectations when he originally came to Tucson, and Russ Pennell was also the last man to take Arizona dancing. In the last year, Pennell waived goodbye to Tucson and the focus is currently Antelopes, not Wildcats. After several division one offers, Pennell decided to pursue a rebuilding project and the head coaching job at DII Grand Canyon University.He is now entering year two of a seven year deal with the Antelopes and for the first time, they are building a program around the 16 year assistant turned centerpiece. KOLD's Dave Cooney caught up with Pennell to find out how life has been since taking the new gig.
