I can't believe Christie is trying to shut down coal plants. He bought into the garbage that is man-made climate change. I do believe climate change exists and can be seen throughout history such as the mini-ice age in the 1600s (Caused by people driving SUVs, of course).

However, I would argue that it has a lot less to do with our cars and factories and a lot more to do with changes in the big blazing ball of fire in the sky, better known as the Sun.

Excuse me, but since when did climate scientists start making billions of dollars? The only kinds of scientists making that kind of money (or something close to it) are working for petroleum companies, not universities and independent research centers - which are conducting the bulk of climate change research.

SIMPLY for the reason of getting CAP & TRADE aka Cap & Tax passed into law... which will make Al Gore, George Soros , & many others.. TRILLIONAIRES !!! Bottom Line... FUCK THAT !!!!!

I believe in taking care of what we have like not just throwing garbage into the ocean. However, using government to prevent companies from employing available resources in a time of intense energy shortages, food shortage, and chaos around the world is a very bad idea, especially since he is selling his idea with global warming. It is certainly not the role of the federal government and will be bad for New Jersey (see France). But NJ can do that as a sovereign state. Just be aware!

Yeah let's just keep building coal plants as our energy need grows and grows. You know what country has continuously relied on coal plants for their huge population? China! Have you ever been to Beijing? The whole city smells like burnt fuels, and you're lucky if you get a glimpse of the sun on a given day. EVEN if you don't believe global warming, you should know that pollution is real, and it has consequences on both the environment and your own health. Coal is not the answer.
