In October 1993, the global poverty-fighting organization CARE moved its headquarters to Atlanta. Twenty years later, we held a celebration called, "Bringing the World to Atlanta," to mark the special anniversary with an evening of entertainment, reflections on CARE and recognition of Atlanta's position as a gateway to the globe.
"You name a challenge that is being faced in a developing part of world and typically CARE is there," Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said in this video tribute for the event. "And, by extension, the city of Atlanta is there." Learn more by visiting us at http://www.care.org.
