Corsair is well known for manufacturing high-quality power supplies, and they are continuing this tradition with a 2nd revision of their enthusiast "TX" line (hence the v2 moniker). Available in 650W, 750W, and 850W versions, these PSUs feature a single-rail design, 80 Plus Bronze certification and active power factor correction.

  • @0peppers K nice :D

  • @X6800 If your case allows you to stuff all the cables then by all means go for it. The thing with modular is convenience. And if you have a lower end case with not enough room it also helps to have less cables to avoid clutter and airflow restriction.

  • @Artinmallproductions If you're not sure it can handle it or just want a more future proof psu just save a little extra and go for the 750w model.

  • Can the 650w handle an i7 2600k and a windforce hd7950?

  • @vBDKv I don't see what the big deal is. I've have modular before and went back to standard because of cheaper cost. I can stuff the extra cables in the top of my case. Out of sight, out of mind.

  • @ussoldiersm316 650's more than enough for that but you'll need the 750 or above for SLI

  • @vBDKv that's what everybody thinks before they get one. truth is, with my modular i can barely close the lid on the cable mgmt side and have just as much spaghetti as my old one on the inside. yes, that's with the unused cables unattached. until they come out with wireless PSUs, i'm sticking to non-modular.

  • My next ps will be a modular one. I'm so done with cables everywhere.

  • @ussoldiersm316 Yes. Is the current power supply you have an older one? Also if you do a search on google for PSU calculator you should find a few different calculators out there that will back me up.

  • @kyle589 u sure? cuz i have a 500w and the wire gets scolding hot when i play certain games so is 150w a big difference?
