@TheTrueAdept There's a chance; but whilst we're working on one, we're not working as hard as we could be. We're still too busy with taxing the hell out of oil and trying to hide nuclear waste. Whilst North Korea knows that if they manage it; if they can create and sustain a Fusion Reactor; they go to the top of the food-chain as far as nations go.

@CultureShockSix Actually, that might be simply propaganda. The West has been working on a Hydrogen Fusion reactor, but the best we can do is barely above energy costs. However, a He3/H reactor (which the western world is trying to build, its just He3 is rare on Earth) are theorized to have immense energy output. The only problem is is the plasma bottle. That is the problem with all fusion reactors because in order to overcome repulsion, you got to have a lot of gauss which is costly in power.

@TheTrueAdept A lot of nuclear fuel can be recycled yeah I agree; but whatever can be done, Nuclear Power will never be clean.

I could understand if we needed it, but we don't; look at tsunamis - the sea has more energy in it than you could imagine; and it can easily be harnessed cleanly and effectively. The same with rivers, and dams, and even the sodding wind.

Besides; the North Koreans are the world leaders in Hydrogen Fusion technology. It's clean, and free.

@CultureShockSix My good sir you haven't heard of an old inicitive back during the days of Ford. Simply put it puts the nuclear waste through the same process of nuclear refinement that uranium goes through and what is left is mostly short term nuclear waste. A good portion of it is actually pretty fine reactor fuel, that is why it takes so long for it to radioactively decay. This inicitive however was cancled and pretty much forbidden due to nuclear poliferation concerns. The plan is viable.
