  • Hi, I just purchased the JVC Pro HD as you're demonstrating. I have 2 questions:

    1. Your video quality on Youtube is excellent. How do you manage to do that. The few that I have posted are too fuzzy and pixelated.

    2. Are you familiar with easy to use software other than Premier and other "higher end" editing software. I tried to use Cyberlink video editing software but it can't handle the MP4 files. Any advice or do I have to buy and learn the more complicated editing studio software?

  • @duendelahiguera The Sony NX5 and NX5U Both record in the AVCHD .mts format... These files will need to be transcoded before you can begin editing them.

The JVC GY-HM100U Records to .mov using the XDcam codec (I think) but none the less, you can grab your raw recorded files and begin editing in any NLE suite without any pre-transcoding!

As far as features, the Sony NX5 and JVC HM100 are pretty close. And wile the sony offers a few extra features, the Direct to Edit mov workflow is much better!

  • what is the thread count on the lens?

  • I want to know if this camera is better than the sony NX5 , i'm trying to buy a good cam, but im confused about wich code is better xdcam ex or avchd,i 'll apreciate any advice, thanxs
