Nice editing. All lovely, but I think the flexibility of her back makes her Bielmann spins especially beautiful. Actually, there is a *little* room for comparison. One of the reasons male skaters and dancers (esp parody groups like the Trocks can give the ladies a run for their money one multiple fouettes or Axels is that they have so much more upper body strength so they pull in faster and harder when they need the extra impetus to get around. Believe the programs are sill around

Hahaha at 0:38 it looks like shes shaking her booty!!

Figure skaters do not spot. There would be no point in spotting in some of those positions when your head is down, or facing the ice. Skaters just spin, and over time learn not to be dizzy from it.
Pirouettes and spins are very different.

Do Figure skaters spot when they turn? It doesn't look like it but It seems like it would be hard to keep your center without spotting.

So... What is an ice skating pirouette? I mean, she's doing tons of different amazing things, but what is the definite definition? I know about the one for dancing, but not for this...
Can someone tell me? ^^

she is amazing, but i wouldnt count these as pirouettes. pirouettes take a lot more inner body work. but still, these are beautiful

Can anyone tell me what song this is? it's so beautiful <3
-
its not a piroutte it's an i spin..

@vintagebabe101 i do too! what level are u in (skating)? im more serious about skating myself. :3

What is the name of the song?!?!? I love it!!!!
They don't technically count as pirouttes the same way. Like in skating doing ten rotations in a spin isn't really a big deal, even beginnrs can do that, but being able to do ten pirouettes en pointe or flat for ballet is considered amazing. It's harder in different ways. I skate and dance too :)

She looks like one of those dolls in jewleryboxes, that just twirls and twirls and twirls. Beatiful music!
