@lyndentribune25 I love the Bee Gees, and music from all the genres you mentioned. It's the arranging which is not as good as it used to be - I'm an arranger as well. But I'm probably being a bit harsh: I also like to do some easy listening arranging once in a while. Anyway, to me the best Swingle were the ones who recorded albums such as 1812 and Around The World.
@kubikpt The newest incarnation of the Swingles just have a broader repertoire. If you don't like the Bee Gees, don't listen to a Bee Gees cover. That's all this is. They do classical, swing, Jazz, movie themes, gospel, as well as pop...plenty more. that just shows how much they have improved and marketed themselves. They could put music on any chart they want.
I listened to the Swingle Singers when I was a young man and they were doing Bach, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. This is a neat evolution to contemporary music. Lots of fun. Great beat box.
I've been a big fan of the Swingle since more than 20 years, but gosh!, what have they done? Do they need all those instruments cluttering the arrangement? I wonder if the time of high quality arrangers like Jonathan, Ben, Mark and Ward himself is long over... or is this just a bad example? Of course this is still a good group if compared with other groups in the world, but not if compared with itself some years ago.
I love the Swingle Singers no matter what they sing!!

If you have to throw up listening to these vocal masters, there's something really wrong with your ears.
