This model passat 1.9TDI 130 hp is electronicaly limited to 4200rpm on 6th gear. If you derestrict and flash the ECU (5 min job) it can goes 240km/h

@nemob4 Ask any local performance tuning for ECU upgrade. You should get 15-20 hp just with ECU remap

a da mi je to vidjet,jebemu u fabrickim podacima pise max brzina 208kmh a tvoj ide 260,trebas nazvat upravu u VW reci im da neprave dzaba passata r36 posto i taj tvoj ide 260 dzaba ljudi trose vrijeme na jakim motorima.jebote 100 put sam se vozio u ovom passatu na hrv autoputu sa jaranom ali nikad ama bas niakd nemoze preko 210kmh po gps,kazaljka ode i na 235 ali to su price za malu djecu da 130 dizel konja moze toliko ic.

i jeste glupi ljudi !! Sta vam nije jasno u tome da ne moze 5. i 6. brzinom do 5000 ? pa to je 1.9 !!! nije 3.0 Zlatno sto i moze 220

My car does not pass the VW Passat 200 km....i have 270.000 km

moj 5+ sa 100 ks dođe do 200 km/h i ne mrda jer su svi ograničeni u najvećoj brzini 5. ili 6. na 4000 obrtaja a u nižoj idu i do 5000

still, if you do the remap like this, you need to keep the rev limiter on because you'll probably tare the engine apart :)

@lardauk from what I know you can do a remap that could give you between 1 and 90 bhp. A 1.9, can stand, I think, a remap to get a motor from 131 to 160 bhp and the engine to be still perfectly ballanced. A total different engine you will say if you do the remap like this.

@47blackdeath nicely said, but with that little tune (only ECU remap) you don't need that modifications, because the engine block will handle that tune. but your notice is good.

@lardauk if you do the remap you will need a new radiator and a new intercooler because the fuel injected in the cylinder will be a bit more and the temperatures will be higher. If you do the remap, and you will change the stock radiator and intercooler the chances that the engine will last longer are better that a only standard remap :) good luck
