Fire Retardant Coating / Paint Demonstration | EonCoat

David Zheng, president of E Poin, comes all the way from China to visit the EonCoat facility in Wilson, NC for a fire retardant coating flame test.

EonCoat fire retardant coating has a flame spread rating of zero. An EonCoated surface exposed directly to flame will not catch fire unless the flame generates enough heat to make the substrate behind the coating self-ignite.

EonCoat will not burn at all making it more than just a fire retardant. Legally, to qualify for a fire retardant rating paint must limit the spread of flame by 50% over what the flame spread would be for the surface without the coating. Simply put, it needs to slow down the rate of the flame spread by half. That's all. EonCoat goes far beyond that standard.
