@bmx3r101 agreed, it's just a testament to the fact that those who say that are 1) too close-minded to appreciate newly emerging genres, 2) only listening to crappy music that plays on the radio, 3) too lazy to find today's good music, and/or 4) conveniently ignoring the fact that the 80's and 90's had some terrible music for the purposes of their blind nostalgia.

@rymcmanus I'll say that I absolutely love music from 20 and 30 years ago, but I do admit that there are some that do not sound good at all. Crappy music is played on my radio, so that prompted me to search for the decent songs of the 2000's and current music. Guess what, I stumpled upon plenty that are just as catchy and beautiful as many 80's music were. There are there, it's just they need to thoroughly search for them. I think some of the folks just gave up on looking for them.
