Yanmar 2gm 13 Hp 2 cylinder Diesel Engine

This is nice running Yanmar Diesel. It had a bad rear seal and bad crank. The crank, rod and main bearings, seals and oil pan gaskets are new. The transmission seals were replaced and the motor starts and runs like new. This motor needs an altenator. The unit pictured here is off an older engine, while it works, it isn't an up to date model. There are no motor mounts included. I can get them, however they will be extra. @Haguesail The 1 gm is out of a 1982 27 foot Hunter. The engine is complete with a transmission, alternater and engine wiring harness. The motor does not have engine mounts or a remote panel. It would be an excellent replacement unit. Starts easily and runs well. I don't know the hours but the boat was on land for ten years at least. I am asking $1500.00 F.O.B Haverstraw NY 10993

@Yankeeprepper I will not begin to tell you what the motor is worth, but refer to my comment on how useful a water cooled diesel engine is for the Prepper. I hope to see a new video soon on your new generation system.

One of these engines is the perfect backup for power for your home, especially for the Winter. The engine can turn a generator while the water pump sends the coolant water to a radiator and fan connected to the home heating ducts and heats it with the waste heat. Even the exhaust can be used in a gas type water tank as a preheater for hot water production. All in all a perfect Prepper motor type for backup power.

I have a 1977 Hunter 27' sailboat. These little engines are great. will absolutely run itself to death, and is as reliable as any I have ever seen.

I have a chance to pick one of these up at an auction locally. It has never seen salt water. I would be using it for off grid purposes at a a cabin. Do you like the engine? Does it run well? What about parts availability? How much would you pay for an average used engine?
