This is my thrid installment of my Bijin-ga Series. This time it's a full animation. After years of wait I finally made an animation on one of my favorite songs. Please leave any comments you have. Thank you.

  • Since I saw some of your stuff on flickr I decided to look at this and I got quite a few gripes with the way you handle things. For example the clothing, very often your clothing is static and unmoving while the limbs go right through them, while I know how much of a pain it is to make clothing work well with animations you should at least try, and then again some of your still images have the same problem. You have been doing this too long to not advance in quality and technique.

  • The software I use for this is Poser 7. I purshase the clothes online and some of them don't have the ability to fold which cause the limbs to go thought. Despite my time working on 3D, this is my third animation. Before critizing any of my animtaion. You must first learn how to use the software longer then I have and Tell me you to do to improve in the furture. Don't tell me about my quality and technique until you do.

  • I started with poser when poser 4 was out and before that I used other things, once I get my customers ok I can either post animations or have them post stuff I did if they see fit.

And as i said I know what a pain clothing is but in the end you gotta pick the stuff that will work the best and if you can not make it work use dynamic cloth or make magnets to bend the things in ways you need it. There are many ways to improve what you are currently doing, and don;t take it too hard.

  • I see. I did try to use the dynamic cloth in fact I bought it for that reason; however since I import the BVH files to my charater, it won't claude to well with the figure. The magnes in not to familiar as well. I would like to use the dynmaic cloth for my future animation. Sorry about before. It's not the animation that gets to me but who it's about.
