It is sooo obvious why this was brought up on his FOX show right before FOX's American Idol's final vote. Methinks some FOX folks didn't want a gay winner.

Credit where credit is due - he does finally admit that the best should win and nothing else should be a factor. It took a while and considerable drubbing by the other two, but he does concede the point. He also raises a genuine question of whether voters would be influenced by immaterial issues - it's important to ask - although I'm not impressed with the manner of his asking or the editing of the photos.

Notice how when Fox shows the photos, they show them from the mouth up, as to avoid displaying gays kissing on their network. That is an embarrassment.
