I remember this television series from the early 60's, "This is the 20 Century" with Walter Cronkike, what a great show! It was a good over-all view of world history up to that point with lots of good high quality film clips and photos. It was, because of it's short 1-hr format not very detailed, but still informative and entertaining. It set the standard for what television could be (and PBS is today) as compared to watching westerns and comedy sit-coms so popular at the time.
