My dad couldn't listen to too many tapes, lol, yes tapes when I was in the truck with him when I was little because he didn't want me to learn too much too early, but, Supertramps Breakfast in Amarica was always in the tape player. This song was my least favorite when I was 8 years old, and I was happy that the tape broke and when he fixed it half of this one was missing. Now that I'm 34, I appreciate the whole thing. Thanks dad.

I was an innocent 11 yr old girl with a mother who didn't like her. I was a daddy's girl and my mother didn't like me at all, she resented me. As a child I didn't know this, but I sensed it. to escape I'd climb up to the back roof of the garage, my portable record player and my brothers album in tow, and I would lay and look at the clouds and the valleys and hills in the distance, waiting for my father to come home from work I am grateful for this mans voice... it touches the sad child in me.

1980 in Tacoma, Washington USA on a Saturdat night at the most popular place in town called "Groucho's" (Games Unlimited). This place was where everyone hanged out and played "Foosball". Saturday night that I arrived around 9:00 PM and the place was freaking empty! I stood at the door and said to "Freddy" the manager "WTF!" "Where the hell is everyone!" He looked at me shaking his head as if he felt sorry for me and replied, "Dude, Supertramp!"
