:( indeed. I know you guys haven't had a chance to mess around with the ina-w900, but is it possible to take the OS from one unit(900) and put it into another unit say the 505 even if it's by hacking it somehow. the reason I'm asking is because the 900 address all these issues that u mentioned in the video, but the thing is ugly. I like the styling of the 505 much better. the 900 has this huge ledge sticking out and the buttons and trim look cheap
you're right about it sucking when it comes to selecting items on the screen, you can't just tap on the time, title of a song, or album art to get it working
Is it possible to fix this in a firmware update or are we just stuck with it? If it is possible, is it likely alpine will address these issues?
iPods were used via the supplied USB high-speed cable in 80GB (5G) and 120GB (Classic) variety as well as the iPhone (32GB). List browsing is slow. There is no way to "go back" in your playlist and you must start from the top of the tree. Alpine's latest announced unit (out soon) does allow this.
Good reviews on this unit. sir. When using the iPod did you use the supplied USB adapter? Do you have any experience with the full speed cable? Also in this video, are you using the iPod from your iphone or are you actually using a real ipod. One more thing once you load a track from a playlist, touch and hold the play list soft button to get back to the same playlist
Mines doesn't do that my art work and information stays there when i change tracks it also pops up within 1 -2 seconds when selecting a new album

Alpine says that firmware updates will not be available to update this limitation. :(
