A person of good character simply won't let pets abandom when something can be done about it, they have pain as well and depend on our help.

The fact that there are ppl in need as well, it is not an excuse to turn the blind eye on animals who also need assistance, its our duty to help animals because when they are ok they are OUR pet and when they are in trouble what? you want to leave them?

WTH? Animals also needed help after the earthquake, thebeach2008 you need to be a little more considerate, people were already being helped by many organizations, but animals were being forgotten; its good that there were volunteers who didn't forget about them.
