Bought at the same time as the early Hylton in summer 89. Yet another long standing favourite. Compare and contrast!

  • Recorded on April 14, 1927, with Franklyn Baur as vocalist, and released as "Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra" on {American} Victor 20599.

  • This tune sounds more happyer than the one of mic33george. only bouth are lovely

  • Brilliant!!! I had this Shilkret version too, but I do have one more by a the French-Belgian jazz piano duo Jean Wiéner - Clément Doucet, rec. 1933. I'll share it, but as public.

  • Great! Really makes you feel bright!

I agree re ''compare and contrast'' in exams Michael, do you remember ''choice of words''? AAARRRGGHH!

  • I see this is private-put it as Public, its such a good version.

  • I like this better i think than the Gus Hagan!!It has such a snappy rhythm!!!I only have one Nat Shilkret-no two as the Jessie Crawford organ one has his band as backing.I used to hate that in exams"compare and contrast"!I love the ending to this-brilliant!!!
