I think he uses the G-string as a pivot and a guide to find where he is on the guitar. With that higher octave string missing he is able to feel where he is on the guitar. I say that because I use the G string as my guide string up and down the neck.

Wow out of every single cover of oceans I have listened to on here u are by far the best my friend that was a fantastic performance and really nailed the song few wrong notes here and there but on a song like that u hear JB himself miss a few notes, this is far better that any performance I have seen entered into the oceans cover comp! There is only one version better than this an it's JB's! Ps live version is was tastier than album version!

@Navagg hey why does jb use an 11 string is it caus of a meaning behind it or is it cause it sounds worse with that highht octave string i think its cause it sounds worse cause i play it on a eleven string
