A video I made, set to "Don't stop me now" by Queen after being harrassed by Cane Hill Mental Asylum security guards for being on a public footpath.
It was at this former mental hospital (now crumbling - do a google search for info) that David Bowie's brother and Charlie Chaplin's mother were kept.

Guys, a heads up. Demolition has started on June 2 2008. They've already made a star on a few buildings. Demolition is to take 18 months.
If you want to get along and smash the place to bits before the demo gets there you've only got a few months.
The buildings to be saved are the chapel, admin, and water tower, so don't smash those buildings but anything else can be trashed.

So you actually made the effort of going there and getting in just to smash the place? I'm not usually one to moan about the state of the country and so on, but what the hell do they actually teach you in school these days? How to be a cunt by the sounds of it.

It used to be not far from Coulsdon South station, formerly Cane Hill & Coulsdon South station. The sign was stolen shortly after demolition started.

I went to Cane Hill yesterday. Does anyone know where the sign is that says 'Footpath to Cane Hill Hospital?' We saw the sign 'Patients use this footpath, please drive safely' but we want a picture with the Footpath to the hospital sign before it gets taken down in demolition. Where is it, guys?!?!

Awsome video! I visited yesterday they are have really started with the demolition work and wont let anyone near the site (you have to stay on the public footpaths!) Such a shame!
