  • (2)...And me being an American and also new to Islam, I have been judged by my Muslim brothers and sisters A LOT, and to be honest that really hurts to be criticize by the people who you are suppose to get the most support from, any thoughts?

  • Try to find some supportive friends, there are plenty of them, if not offline then online. Leave negative people, they are pain!

  • (1)I think another nice question would be, what would this sister do if she met a Muslim brother or sister that was judgmental towards her or criticizing her about how she practices her faith, because different Imam's have different views about certain things in Islam...

  • It's hard to deal with people who only know their way or highway. And if you are new and they are old/born Muslims, it's even hard to show them any books/info that you have a ground. So, just don't open these topics with them. Learn from friends their strengths, and enjoy their companionship, and forget about those differences and weaknesses.

  • JazakAllah Kheir for all the tips!

  • Much respect for your answer!

Yes, really good people do their best to not judge people, especially not by the looks or by differing opinion.Everyone will have to justify their life and thoughts for themselves, it is wrong and btw very ill-spirited to gossip about others.

  • brother no body have the right to judge u i am a muslim real muslim never judge anybody maybe some uneduacted crazy muslim maybe judging u but this wrong in islam

  • asalaamu alaikum

hi i've been a muslim for about a year alhamdulillah, and congrats on your conversion! masha'allah.

about u being judged wow, i'm sorry. its weird because at my schoo we kinda judge each other, we say, oh she won't wear hijab, or eww she wears hijab and shorts, or omg she does not fast....little things like that. we do need to change insha'allah, i see that it hurts to judge others, we are muslims and shud support each other, not tearing each other down.

    salaam
