NYU Application Film: Lawn Love

This was my application video for Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. It is about a garden gnome who falls in love with the lawn flamingo across the street. I was not accepted to NYU; I will instead be attending the film school at USC.

Thanks! No, I didn't do early decision when I applied last year. I found out in late march.

did u apply to any other colleges with film and television programs? do u like usc?

I applied to NYU, UCLA, Chapman, UTexas, and Florida State. I love USC lots.

great film. really laughed hope you do well at usc. one question since you seem to be really good about answering them. What did you put for your portfolio? Because I am not really sure since i just started making films and dont know if I will win anything by next year?

What I've heard about the portfolio list for USC is this: they are looking for a wide range of creative endeavors and accomplishments, not just filmmaking. The greater variety of things you can put down, the better. Things like writing, music, and other art can really help. It's obviously great if you have won awards for any of these, but they are mostly looking for passion, so be sure to display that. Hope that helps.

@ripplefilmstudios im also applying to film schools. NYU, Hofstra University, UCF (central florida) and USC are all places that have film programs. Also the art institute of NY has a film program but i believe the other colleges are better
