A classic problem of physics. A gun is fired at a monkey hanging from a tree. At the precise moment that the bullet leaves the gun, the monkey lets go of the branch and falls toward the ground. Remarkably, the answer does not depend on the velocity of the bullet. Viewed in a center of mass reference frame, the two objects are moving directly towards each other. Gravitational acceleration effects both just the same.

  • Music is too loud - can't really hear what's going on....

  • @nightshifter77 Jon - I really didn't give a good verbal explanation of this one. Everyone there already knew the physics.

The launcher is aimed directly at the lion. The lion is held in place by an electromagnet. The circuit for the magnet is connected through a piece of aluminum foil which is stretched in front of the launcher. The line drops at the same time the ball leaves the launcher. The ball hits the lion on the way down; a few feet above the floor.
