The Ki Pro records in Apple's ProRes format. You could use it like a traditional deck with a PC and ingest via HDSDI or analog. The real time savings is in post on a Mac because the clips are native and ready to edit. Although before the Ki Pro the only HDSDI or component HD recording device that worked flawlessly I could find was a very expensive XDCAM deck.

@oneeyedgeek Google for Apple Pro Res WIndows and you can download "Apple ProRes QuickTime Decoder 1.0 for Windows" which will allow playback of Pro Res movies on a PC. The price is $3995 for the Ki Pro and now there is the Ki Pro Mini for $1995 - it records to Compact Flash and is much smaller.
