Today we (the museum I volunteer at) received a new vehicle on loan from Mack Trucks Australia.
It is a 1924 AB series Mack furniture removal van and it was in constant use by the same owner from 1928 to 1958 and was then sold to Mack Australia in 1969 for their collection. The museum and Mack Australia have a very good relationship and as such they sent the truck out to the museum for at least the next 6 months.
This old rig was the first engine powered furniture van in Australia and as a 1924 vintage rig it is the oldest truck in the museum and the second oldest vehicle (1923 Indian is the oldest).
This was while we were preparing to display this truck outside for the day with a Superliner and a new Titan brought by the representative of Mack Australia so that everyone can see the development of Macks.
Beautiful truck, almost 90 years old and still running, lucky to have it in your museum.
