The 12 ft skiff looks to me like a boat made for lunatics.
It's clearly too damn short for that rig...
The way it bounces drunkenly over the water is just insane!
I wish I had the skill (and the balls) to have a go.

.... the drag on the hull is huge when the skiff overtakes each wave and the nose goes down slightly, that is when the skill of the crew comes into play.
