@twinturboteen18 Well people use percentages for drive loses, and that's not entirely right. Pure example: If you assume you have a 25% drivetrain loss, at 1000hp you're apparently losing 250hp through the gearbox. This would generate extreme amounts of heat and melt all the gears pretty quickly. If the engine has 1000hp at the crank you could expect in the range of 900hp at the wheels. The losses of a gearbox are closer to a fixed number, than a fixed percentage.

@ph33x didnt even know we had that sort of technology i always thought dynos could only read at the wheel power. which would mean this gtr can push over 1200 crank hp but if those dynos do what you say i guess its more around the 800 at the wheels

@JAMIEFREEDMAN With those specific dyno's, they let the wheels slow down without any breaks, and after a few seconds, the dyno works out the drive train drag, and can therefore work out the power at the engine, which is what you are seeing in this video.
