@sendmenosigns If you are not a skilled musician you have no place talking about what is right or wrong. I have studied the best musicians in the world all of my life and was a child prodigy. There is a correct way to hold a guitar. If you aren't holding it that way, you are sacrificing technique, speed, accuracy. It is known in the musical world. I'm glad you think Satriani and Petrucci are better. The fact is, they could probably play better with their feet than JD can with his hands.

@MrDeppness my definition sucks? lol...tell that to the American Oxford Dictionary. i didn't "buy" anything. obviously he's not a great musician. but your comments are flawed and make you look like a tool. my main beef is how retarded it was for you to say he was holding his guitar wrong. it was just so laughable. and obv joe sat and petrucci are amazing...i never compared depp to them...you did. and besides the image he held down the rhythm...pm me if you'd like me to explain what that is.

@sendmenosigns Sorry, but your definition sucks. A real musician is one who studies great musicians, learns composition and technique, and then masters them with great proficiency. Johnny plays like a beginner. He has very little talent, so image is all he has for you as the audience member. Glad to know you bought it and couldn't even tell the difference. Really he's just playing for fun. But he's not skilled.

You want talent, google: Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Alex Lifeson, John Petrucci.

@MrDeppness first of all...define a real musician. i will for you..."a person who is talented or skilled in music" alternatively "a person who plays a musical instrument". Depp qualifies. secondly, some of the best guitarists on the planet hold the guitar in drastically different ways. watch "Slash and Zakk Wylde guitar duel/duet". note how Slash holds his guitar literally exactly like Depp does in this video. also, how "not straight" Zakks guitar is. like i said...you're an idiot.

@sendmenosigns You should probably know what an idiot means before calling a genius one. No, he CAN hold the guitar any way he wants, but he is NOT a real musician, let alone a classically trained one. If he was he'd hold the guitar higher and straighter and have a completely different approach to maximizing effectiveness. This pose is only an image shot, not conducive to playing well. Of course you wouldn't know that troll.

he's not even holding the guitar right.. this is fun time for JD. From a musician's POV, Johnny sucks. But his acting is incredible... he should stick to it! ;)
