Erin LaVoie is a CrossFitter and co-owner of Predation CrossFit in addition to being a world-champion lumberjack competitor. She talks about her relationship with her boyfriend, Chance Hughs, who is also a co-owner of Predation CrossFit.

When Hughs is away from the gym traveling, LaVoie says she feels his absence.

"It's so much better with him here," she says. "It's your buddy. You bounce off of each other and we come up with new things together. We push each other."

The two share a love of CrossFit and decided to open an affiliate together.

"You definitely have to have a thing you do together and enjoy together. This is it for us, and it works out perfectly," LaVoie says.

She tells the story of opening their box and how happy it makes them and their athletes.

"I love getting people better, and I love progressing myself," LaVoie says.
