Harry Reid has come under fire for mentioning favorability with Barack Obama during the campaign 2yrs ago. He said Obama was "a light-skinned African American who lacked a Negro Dialect, unless he wanted to have one." He expressed this to be favorable attributes which would have an impact on his success in the presidential campaign. Some see this as racist or politically incorrect, and I'm willing to bet it would be because Reid is a white man. But let's tell the truth: If Barack Obama were dark-skinned like Yaphet Koto, and spoke like the lady in the video, would he have the success he has had politically?

  • I want to gradulate? wow

  • She said corch. Hahahhaha

    corchin...

  • @jjpjpow I can say with all honesty and certainty that out of all the white people I know, myself included, not one of them is afraid of a black person with proper English. Ebonics make people sound less intelligent, it's the truth. It's really upsetting to me that communities see it as being no big deal or some weird form of "cool" because I don't want people to keep thinking that all black people are stupid because they can't speak. Too much racism is still around bc of this crap.

  • @jjpjpow Fear mongering whites?LOL are you kidding me?Nothng wrong with ebonics? If you speak ebonics you will not succeed in the working world. In reallity it might work in the music world thats it.Ebonics hurts the youth in black communities in america.Telling these kids its ok to speak like this is shameful. There is a huge difference between not so proper english & fucking ebonics for god sakes. To tell blacks kids ebionics is ok is crippling them before they leave the starting gates

  • Its like a saturday night live skit lol

  • @gunslinger072 Not really. I dont see anything wrong with ebonics or how the way this lady was talking in the video. You say with proper english you can have a chance to get somewhere but the truth is depending on who you are, with proper english you may be in the same place as you were yesterday. And not only that, when certain ppl display their well spoken grammar, whites get pissed and claim ppl need to learn proper english. It prolly got something to do with fear among whites but idk.

  • believe it or not, this is not the biggest waste of time in washington

  • she should sound valley. The southern drawlito is too masculine.

  • I didn't find a problem with it. It just seemed as if she has a slight southern drawl & she was excited & wanted to contain that excitement. I mean WHAT? She isn't a white woman if that's what you worthless racist pale faces were expecting, so why should she speak like she's a pale face? & don't call me racist because I said pale faces because most of you are pale in the face! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • @LuvCrazeGrl17 This is the accent we like to call "Stupid." Also, I wouldn't be talking like that.
