There's a new vibe at the Victor Lauriston Public School library.
A school assembly was held yesterday to celebrate upgrades at the library, including $6,000 to spruce up the room and another $6,000 in new books.
Principal Laurie Welch said, "we're very committed to literacy in this building."
She said the school raised $4,000 through various fundraisers, which was matched 50 per cent through a beautification fund provided by the Ministry of Education.
"We were very grateful for that," Welch said.
