I didn't need the USAF to pay for my education. I didn't have to leave NY because there was nothing better for me. I was accepted into the collages I wanted. I joined to carry on a proud military heritage that runs through four generations of my family.

I agree with Achped. Your assumption that every one is poor and uneducated is misguided. I came from a very nice upper-class family. I grew up in the Hudson River Valley outside of NYC. My parents and older sisters all hold B.A.s and I am currently pursuing a degree in journalism while serving my country.

You know two years after 9/11 you couldn`t find an american flag in any store....now....you can`t find anyone who wants one... I love this country and the people in it bless their poor misguided souls, but I will be damned if I`m gonna just take a seat in the back row and let someone else do my standing/fighting/keeping fellow countrymen safe/posting on youtube for me....time to take action....
