@johnkutch Well put. Alot of today's academies teach how to utilize steam. We use it to our advantage on our dept. Nothing like putting out a fully involved room with about 20 gallons

That water is hardly reaching the building. Took ages to get water on the fire. Could have put it out with a hand held extinguisher when you first got there

I don't believe fire truck ladders that go up that high; in the USA! Is all that water flooding the apartments directly below; all the way to the ground floor? Water had to go somewhere; and that is downward!

wow its like the us have the best was to fight fires. is this was d us we would have had all kinds of ladders up on that fire

Pas mal comme lavage de vitres...A Londres il n'y a pas une deuxeième echelle ou elevateur pour donner un coup de main?
A moins que l'élevateur étais nouveau et qu'i fallait lire le mode d'emploi

the aim to a fire is to knock the other areas with water so the fire doesnt spread see how the carp isnt aiming directly the fire it is dampening the other floors
so many bad effects dont look if you have epilepsy

@r14nicolau Firefighting is not always hitting where the flames are showing to extinguish a fire. As soon as the ladder started putting water on the building it would have started to suppress all the floors involved. Steam is a very powerful firefighting tool as it can both cool the fire and suffocate the fire. Yes crews may have gone up to finish knocking down hot spots but primarily the ladder would have done most of the work.
