Third Stone from the Sun-all covered in flowers part 2

more of my epic guitarwork squealing mightily behind a wall of sheer Jimi Hendrix LPs...In this episode we warp out 3rd Stone from the Sun and unwind some axis, bold as love...the "Summer Rain" ...I heard Johnny Rivers doing this song on the tadio and said, "wow I used to love this song!"...so i headed home and recorded this somewhat Hendrixy instrumental based on it. This was back in the day...i had a fostex 2 track cassette recrder- i figued out a simple bassline to it backwards. Played it, then rewound an played just the chorus part (she's here by me-ee-ee) on an electric 12-string, again the chords in backward order. Then I flipped the tape and played the rhythm part forwards, leaving out the chorus, where the now- backward 12 sounds a bit like a herd of bagpipes...and last played the lead...so thats what u hear there. Later whEN i wanted to see th lyrics i was kinda surprised to learn that"Summer Rain" was penned by a composer named James Hendrix- no relation to Jimi. weird. huh? (less)

I really like the "Summer Rain" section, sounds like you're chanelling Hendrix in there. I always thought that was an eerie song.
