yep. Pete Rock did this one justice. Phyllis left us too soon. If she had only held on, she would discover that she would be one of the top vocalists today.

Wow. Sitting here stunned. Haven't heard that song since the movie came out over 30 years ago. Really wanted to buy the soundtrack couldn't afford it when I was a teen. Later on I searched (before internet) for it and found it was no longer in print. I'm 51 years old now and I was just transported to a movie theater in 1979, such a happy memory. Thank you.

i remember me and my buddy ken cut school to see this movie, i was in 9th grade @the time, but i did make it to basketball practice that day yhanks to this movie and i never cut school again and went off to college to play basketball,, thank you DR,J,,,,,

I have heard this song before, but had no idea it was from a the movie, nor did I know that Phyllis had appeared in the movie...Definitely my loss!! I've always loved this song though since I heard it years ago...
