  • There is almost a pre-Sesame Street quality to the graphics/animations here. For 1966, this really isn't so bad. It was just the beginning.

...and I am glad Alex and Donna didn't sell the house! They acknowledged "eight years" in this episode, too.

  • This is the third commercial break from the episode, with a transition [:06] that's never seen in "syndicated prints" today; this ad turned up on several other TV shows at the time (including a "BATMAN" episode; an original 16mm black and white network print confirms it), and was actually filmed in color. The influence was indeed "pop art", AND the sound originated by Herb Alpert's "Tijuana Brass" [there were so MANY imitations of his band back then!].
